We were a bit disappointed with a couple of our courses. The Carrot Ginger soup was too heavily spiced (other than the ginger). The steak entree was a fine piece of beef and cooked properly medium rare. However it was smothered with a sauce that was way too heavy with the black pepper. Spoiled the dish.

The restaurant offered a warm and welcoming atmosphere on a cold, rainy Sunday evening. Our server, (Laura) provided great wine suggestions and the overall service was impeccable. The Prime Rib dinner was a treat - the roasting done to perfection and the accompanying veggies had a wonderful crispness to them. Bonus marks for a table by the fire to take away any chill.

Super convenient to the Royal theater. We had dinner there after a show. There were five of us, and we got a nice booth. Food was outstanding, as was the service. We've been there before, and always stop in for lunch or dinner when we're in NOTL.

Very convenient spot to have a meal before or after at Shaw Festival Theatre as it's right across the street from the main festival theatre. Food was excellent and quick. Server was friendly and attentive. Would recommend reservations.

Ordered the cheese plate, it was cold with barely any cheese, and the cheese on it wasn’t very good, for $30 - ordered tuna starter and it was frozen fish and also too cold, with mayonnaise poured over it with no wasabi, and was $25. Everything seemed extremely overpriced. Service was great.

Always enjoy the welcome at Zees Grill. The understanding servers pleasantly take our requests and deliver a delicious meal promptly. We are most often on our way to the theatre and this is definitely appreciated.

We are a group of locals who have formed a breakfast club and love trying out all the local establishments for breakfast. We were greeted immediately upon entering by the very friendly host and our server Carol could not be more accommodating. Friendly, professional and relaxed. The food was delicious and plentiful Might be nice to offer local discounts We will be back.

We were so impressed with Zee. Kim who was the only person we dealt with was about as perfect as perfect could be when handling the order, drinks, delivery of dinner, calling the transportation person. everything was wonderful and Kim made it happen. As a food snob, I would say the food was fabulous and the eye for detail and presentation was a perfect compliment to the quality of our dinner. We were so happy with the dinner and evening and are looking forward to coming back for dinner.

All four of us ordered a different meal and everyone loved theirs. Meals were served hot and the presentation was beautiful. I am a vegetarian and they had a beautiful meal for me. The restaurant is very clean and the service was outstanding.

We had a lovely 25th Anniversary dinner last night! Our waitress and food were top notch! We were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne for us to toast our celebration. We sat on the enclosed porch and the atmosphere was perfect; quiet without being too quiet. Comfortable yet sophisticated. Our waitress gave us great suggestions on wineries and other places to visit while in NOTL. We highly recommend dining here!

For a quiet lunch after all the brunch places have closed down, this nice relaxed restaurant in a local hotel was a nice choice for our group. The server was a bit snarky but fun and effective. The menu was small but had something for all. The Cab Franc was a winner as was the butternut squash soup. We are still debating whether there was any dairy in it or not. We did not get to the desserts - so cannot comment if there was anything memorable (or even available) there.

The service was polite, efficient and friendly. The food was excellent (traditional Thanksgiving dinner, 3 courses). The value was good, for the high quality of the meal. The Riesling wine we selected was served at just the right temperature, nicely chilled. The ONLY negative was that the main course was served only WARM, not HOT. A little disappointing. Despite that fact, we enjoyed our meal.

Limited menu. No daily features. Tiny Bay scallops for seafood risotto a no go. Lamb shank and short ribs same meat quality, texture and method of prep. Quite a boring menu, actually especially; Given the prices being charged for entrees. Food was tastey but not exquisite. Great service. Lovely ambience.

We had a wonderful lunch prior to a play at the Shaw. Service from the door was excellent and our server Roberta was fantastic. Food came quickly and was delicious. Was a beautiful day and doors were open and we were able to look through gardens to the street. We look forward to returning.

Zee's grill in the Shaw Hotel is wonderful, as is the Hotel if you choose to stay. They have the most beautiful porch - now nicely enclosed. The cooking is very good, the menu lovely, and the service great. And it is across the road from the Theatre too.

Amazing food and wine/cocktails. The halibut entree is always amazing. Appetizers were amazing too. Great good, great atmosphere out on the covered porch/deck with some windows open thanks to the unseasonably warm and amazing weather. Zees is a great place for a business dinner or special occasion.

Food was excellent- served hot and quickly. Service was great- on time and a sense of humor. Traffic noise was a bit annoying but not the restaurants fault. Server (OLga) seemed to know the specials and a good idea of each dish when asked. Washroom downstairs may be an issue for some with mobility issues.

The ceasar salad was drenched in dressing and terrible and the waitress had a very poor and conceited attitude toward the complaint. We will never go there again. I've been there before and the food was always soso and Service slow. But this was really a terrible experience. Onlyxthe location can explain customers return.

Overall it was a very good dinner experience, the wait staff was very informative and friendly. Food wise, the Charcuterie plate we order had a few misses. The walnut was a bit stale, and the Prosciutto was cut too thick thus a bit tough to eat; and the grapes weren't clean. The Beef Short Ribs were excellent, tasty and tender; and portion was great!
