Zehnder's of Frankenmuth
Lunch & Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 11:00am - 9:00pm, Friday & Saturday: 11:00am - 9:30pm
Chicken was bland and side dishes were equally flavorless.
There was nats flying around went in gravy and mashed potato
Great food and service!
It’s Frankenmuth. The thing to do. But I have to say it just seemed so marginal this time.
Always have our anniversary DINNER using my free DINNER birthday coupon. Love the chicken the best. Have been dining THERE for many years. Will be back in October.
It was great to be in a beautiful and quiet room for my daughter’s birthday. The noise level was great, very low, compared to the big room next-door. The food was wonderful and the waitress was very nice. Love, love, love Zehnder’s and Frankenmuth! Thank you!
We enjoyed or meal at Zehnder’s, as good as we remembered 30 lus years ago!
Very disappointing with regard to quality of food and service. Fried chicken was very thinly battered and dry, not moist at all. Coleslaw was excellent. Server needed more training in hospitality and being a host. Really expected a lot more for that price and in retrospect, would have entertained them at Prost or Slo Bones.
Our family has gone to Zehnders for many years. All ages enjoy eating here. We love the chicken & noodles the best. My daughter & I always celebrate our July birthdays here with our free meal. Frankenmuth is such a charming town. I recommend it to all Michiganders & other out of state visitors.
Best dinner in Frankenmuth & deals . My husband and I have been coming there for the last seven or eight years for his birthday. We look forward to it every year for their great birthday promotion
Dined alone yet was seated in a booth in a quieter area which was appreciated. Restaurant was noisy but where I was seated was so very pleasant. I had a reservation and was seated promptly. Staff was wonderful and made sure I had everything I needed/wanted. The family style chicken dinner never disappoints.
We made our reservations a few weeks ago to celebrate 2 birthdays (wife and a friend) both born in July. We requested the CowPath room for our celebration. It is a small (5 booths) dining area - very quiet and unique. We were not rushed and our Service took very good care of us. Our friend lost her Zehnder's Card and our Server took her information and before we left presented our friend with a replacement card.
Our food was great (although we did tell our Server that the Brussel Sprouts were tough to eat) and our Server was very attentive. We are looking forward to next year's celebrations.
Waitress was very slow. She didn't clear away soup dishes and just added main meal dishes. It took two hours to be served. Waited 20 minutes to pay.
Love to eat there. Very delicious and nice setting.
Fantastic server. Food was hot and very tasty. One of the best pork schnitzels I’ve ever had.
We visit Frankenmuth every year and alway eat here. Food and service excellent
We are regular diners at Zehnder's and always enjoy the food and people watching. Our waitress, Hillary was extremely helpful going out of her way to take care of us.
Consistently good food. Always know exactly what to expect and they deliver the experience you go for. A tradition we cherish.
Wonderful as always!
The chicken was not as delicious as I remembered it.
Got 2phone calls during our meal from Zehnders asking if we are going to be there anytime soon as our reservation time had passed. We were 30 minutes early and were seated and eating when I got these phone calls
Great all around !!
Was traveling through area food was so so broccoli over cooked noodles over cooked broccoli.wrong choice for meal.of that kind slaw was good chicken good I am a chef I know my food
Chicken was to bland for my taste. Need some seasoning such as pepper, onion and garlic powder. I understand no salt for health reasons.
Food was great, made a reservation and was seated right on time.
Kids mini trip awa
Food and service was good. Expensive for amount of food given.
Great meal with a variety of options. The gluten free menu was very good. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.
Service was extremely slow. Been to Frankenmuth many times and this was one of the worst experiences dining there. Waitress disappeared for long lengths of time, drinks were always empty, plates were never cleared from table (even when they were already scraped and stacked for her). Meal took over 2 hours and we were almost last ones in restaurants. Really disliked having to write tip down before she took our bill to be ran. We always tip 20%+, but really don’t like them seeing it before we leave. Will most likely go back to Bavarian Inn next time we are back in Frankenmuth.
I THINK THAT THE PRICE FOR YOUR CHICKEN DINNER HAS WENT WAY TOO HIGH..AND IT WAS NOT LOOKING THAT GOOD.
Tasty food. Love Zehnder’s.
Great waitress, her name was Karma, service was super quick, open table reservations were easy!
Our server “Karma” was fabulous! The food was good but nothing to brag about.
I’ve been going to Zehnders since I was a little girl. I prefer their food over Bavarian Inn especially the buttered noodles. I’ve never had bad service but it just takes a while to eat a 3 course meal. As much as I love the food I definitely don’t think it’s worth $23 per person as an adult unless you go completely hungry or with a huge group because mostly end up not getting seconds of any of the items and end up eating about the amount of food you would get on just one normal chicken plate versus the family style. But going for birthdays or around the holidays is always nice and it’s definitely a treat for those that aren’t from Michigan!
We come here every year following the Volkslaufe races on July 4th for a post-race meal. It’s always a great experience.
You had better bring your appetite if you are coming here. If you leave hungry it is your own fault
Family came into town and wanted chicken! Good food, good service.
We were travelling through the area and made a point of having the chicken dinner. While it was early (4.00pm) we waited an inordiante amount of time for service and when the waitress arrived she was miffed we hadn't been served by the other server, saying that she quessed she'd have to serve us then...Food was plentiful but the brussels sprouts served with the dinner (I have to question choice of vegetable here) were undoubtedly the worst we have ever had, ever, and we like brussels sprouts. The remainder, chicken, salads, potatoes, were fine but I would hestitate to call them "world famous". Our waitress obviously did not want to be there so her attitude was less than friendly, and she did her 'job' with minimal enthusiasm.
An Ok meal at best, suffice to say we won't be rushing back any time soon.
An excellent meal - cabbage salad was especially good and Tina was a great server.
