Rang in the new year at our favourite place, the private room at zen. Nobu’s sashimi is out of this world, as was everything else including service and double dessert ;) BIG LOVE to the ZEN crew for always having top notch service and sushi!

We love Zen Sushi! It is my son’s “birthday restaurant” and such a treat for the family. The food is excellent quality and delicious. It is a little pricey but give the quality, worth it as a special dinner.

We brought our 6 and 9 year old granddaughters for a ‘dining out’ experience and they loved it - the staff were very kid friendly. For the most part, the food was very good, and the service overall was excellent. Our only criticism was the tamago, (egg sushi), which was the worst we’ve ever had. Tamago is the real test of a sushi chef’s skill - it takes years to perfect. Epic fail on Zen’s part.

My wife and daughters are all celiac and love the multitude of options Zen offers. They love the gluten free tempura, which is why my daughters constantly ask to dine here. But, Zen is so much more than that (from a non-celiac, the tempura is still pretty amazing), the sushi is excellent. When we ordered our nigiri, we specified sockeye salmon and our server quickly pointed out that was all they served. Vancouver has the best sushi in the world, and Zen is right up there, especially if you are celiac.
