Disappointed in how flavorless and overly sweet cooked entrees were. The steak dish is served with less than tender tenderloin that was very dry. The dumplings were mushy. The sushi may be good but we don’t care for it. Cancelled upcoming reservations. Management explained they have to cater to many tastes.

Zen always takes a long time to bring out the food. I had duck on Wednesday, Aug. 8 and it was so tough it was like chewing rubber. The prices are very high. The atmosphere is nice but can be very noisy when crowded. We only go there because we stay at the hotel from time to time and their 3 restaurants are all just ok and very costly. Although it is a Asian restaurant they did not have plum wine. They used to. Selection of food and beverages is less than in the past throughout the hotel.

My girlfriend and I checked in for a reservation for 2 adults and the host asked how many children’s menus we would need and referred to my partner as sir. The server was very inattentive for only having about 5 tables total in the restaurant and us being his only table. When asked about Sake he said he didn’t know because everything was new and then left. I tried asking about the market catch and he was full of one word answers and would at random moments just turn and walk away. He made the whole experience uncomfortable for us and it sort of felt like he was ready for us to leave. Though the food was wonderful we were never checked on until after the food was finished and the dishes cleared, we ate quickly and left. The other staff that helped clear the table and refill beverages were very friendly and pleasant. The ambiance itself was wonderful and the Sake options were plentiful and the ones we chose were delicious.

Food presentation was very good. Did not order sushi but the cooked food tasted like it had MSG. The ambiance was great but noise level was off the chart. We were a party of 2 and our server seemed rushed taking care of large, loud tables of families and convention groups.

The food was fantastic. The tenderloin filet was prepared perfectly as was the grouper. Our spicy tuna roll and hamachi were exquisite. Serena our waitress brought humor and knowledge to the table. Made our evening completely enjoyable. Definitely a home run.

My daughter is high energy and opinionated. She was gushing with praise for the Bao buns, so an extra order of them came just for her, lol! James K did a couple magic tricks that really impressed her as well. Yamilette was a great server with a great smile! Thank you for the experience.

I took my daughter here for her Birthday dinner. She has dietary restrictions due to her health. Before ordering food I spoke with our waitress to make sure they could meet all her restrictions. Both the Chef, Waitress and rest of the staff all went above and beyond to make sure that her Birthday was "The Best Ever!" We certainly will be back again.

Our waitress was not hospitable. Was looking for food order but never asked for drink order. My 84 father was very upset. She set a bad mood from the beginning. It wasn’t until my father said something that her state of mind changed. Other staffers were awesome. I try not to let it bother me. But my dad was upset. Which makes me upset. Normally I would let it go. But when you spend this type of money you expect to get what you pay for, and expected exceptional service. Thanks

We are in town for Spring Break staying at the Omni. We wanted to try Zen because we are big fans of Asian food in general. The overall experience was subpar at best; to begin, the server introduced himself by telling us he was “filling in” from the steakhouse. This was disappointing to start because when a restaurant is at this price point, the expectation is that the level of service should align with that and we should have a professional taking care of us, and even if he or she is filling in - just keep it to yourself and offer a great service. It took a while to get our order put in. Appetizers came quickly after and they were okay. The soups were both good (miso + sweet & sour), however the dumplings were not good, the sauce was bland and the dumplings themselves were dry and tasteless. Same goes for the Tuna tartare, small portion and lack of flavor for $18. We had to request soy sauce, it didn’t come at first request. The sushi itself as our main course was fantastic! Overall, to conclude, we weren’t satisfied with our experience and we won’t return.

We all enjoyed the calmness and exclusiveness of Zen along with the attentiveness of the wait staff. However we would have preferred to have more choice on the menu, and found some of the dishes to be quite pricey. Portion sizes were also hit or miss with some of our party feeling they had not had enough to eat. Overall a nice experience but not a regular eating place.
