    Food was great. Wait staff was wonderful. The weak spot is the band was too loud. You literally could not talk. I don’t understand why the ownership allows the band to continue at this volume as I see this complaint has been registered many times. It was uncomfortable, and not in line with the scale of restaurant.

    Excellent food, drinks, ambience, service. Beautifully decorated family friendly with large fish tanks in the walls for kids and adults to gawk at, The Zesty’s Nest appetizer is a must! It was plenty for 3 of us.

    A great meal as always. This is our “go to” restaurant. The appetizers and main courses are terrific. The fresh fish are a great choice. I always enjoy the Dorado. The Saganaki is a must appetizer.

    The service was great even though the waiter had a very large birthday party to serve. Luckily we got our order in before the party because we got our food promptly. The owner visited our table twice to make sure we were happy. The food was delicious.

    My friends and I had dinner on Friday night. The restaurant was not too crowded. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Our waiter was so attentive. Oh, and there was a two-piece band playing Greek music. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for family, friends or an intimate dinner.

    Went on a Saturday night , live Greek music - 3 piece band and a belly dancer. Owner went to every table and welcomed his patrons. Food was great ! Very energetic place !

    Food and service was great! First time here - if you’re looking for a traditional Greek restaurant this is it. Not giving 5 stars because I think the wine was a little old and got an upset stomach. Another table surprisingly paid for our dinner though so that made it so much better!

    Food and vibe was wonderful; however, jazz ensemble played throughout the evening and at times it was so loud it was unbearable. In fact, our friends did leave early because they were so uncomfortable.

    We dined at Zesty’s for a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious, but frankly that was the least impactful part of the evening. The atmosphere, including the service, is what makes Zesty’s so special. From our warm and funny server to the excellent live music to the remarkably engaging belly dancer who got the rest of us up and dancing, Zesty’s provides an exceptional dining experience.

    Really enjoyed the egg lemon soup, pita and the hummus. My friend said the Pastitso, which she has had at other restaurants, was very, very good. The chicken lefkadas stuffing was yummy and the chicken breast was a bit dry. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were cooked to perfection. Our wait person, while extremely personable, was a bit slow/ forgetful though the restaurant was not busy at all. The food portions were generous and the restaurant was very clean.

    We were a table of seven with varying tastes to satisfy. An appetizer, main course, beverage of choice was found for everyone at reasonable price points and quantity of food. A visit by the owner/chef was an added treat and helped navigate some menu questions. Hope you'll find some time to visit there soon!

    Food was pretty subpar and expensive. I did like the glasses and our waitress was super cool. The fish in the fish tank were also really cool to look at. There was also a woman massaging who I imagine to be her husband at the table next to us, that was kinda weird. 3 stars

    Second time for dinner at Zesty's. Both times, the food was fresh, so tasty and the staff are very good. Second time we arrived early (5 pm) on a Saturday to be able to talk freely and extensively w family in town for a visit. We spent 2.5 hours at the table; well after our meal ended. Not once did the staff try to "move us along". When the restaurant started to become more occupied, tables were filling up, and the band started warming up, we left. My only critique both times was as soon as the band started up, conversation is difficult. I frequently find live music too loud wherever I go, though, because, for me, the meal is about the conversation with great food. I personally don't find live music during main dining hours a plus, though, so take my observation with a grain of salt.

    Excellent place for authentic Greek and Mediterranean food. Unfortunately and unbeknownst to us they had live music from 7 to 10 pm at deafening volume. We were a party of 4 there fir dinner and had to ask our very nice server to move us outdoors because none of us could have any kind of conversation. It was a very hot night but at least we could enjoy our dinner and converse without screaming. Given the prices I am surprised that they brought in loud music. If you go--and the food is awesome--be sure to ask if they are having live music. If they are, pick another day to dine there.

    Luis was a great waiter. Extremely pleasant and helpful. Food was exquisite. Could have lived without the live music, a little too loud, but not unpleasant. With a hard of hearing person in our group, it made conversation difficult.

    Had dinner at Zesty's before a concert. It was fabulous from the Mussels Krasata, you must try them, to the Chilean sea bass, Shrimp Glyfada, and the Gnocchi al Gorgonzola. The most delicious dinner I've had in a long time. Our server Maria...the best!

    My husband and I chose Zesty's to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary because we have been craving delicious Greek food and have been intrigued by the spot ever since we moved to Manayunk. We want to start out by saying that we LOVED the Tzatziki, it was the best either of us has had in recent history. We also though the waitstaff, host, and pianist/violinist were all excellent. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive, polite, funny, and very accommodating. What gives us pause in recommending this spot, however, is the *interesting* clientele. Although the restaurant's menu and prices suggest that it is a more upscale spot, that did not prevent the family the next table over from allowing their three (or more?) young children from running around, screaming, banging their hands and faces on the glass fishtanks, and swinging on the safety bar across the musicians' stage. When their children were being particularly unruly, instead of corralling them, the parenting adults simply shouted across the restaurant for them to calm down (spoiler alert, it didn't work). After that table packed up to leave, the next patrons came in with – surprise! Their dog? We didn't realize it was a pet-friendly restaurant, which honestly is fine by us (we love gods!). What we definitely didn't expect, however, was for the couple to then plop their dog on their laps, order dog food off the menu, and proceed to allow the dog to eat the food, out of the bowl, on the TABLE LINENS. All in all, the food was great, the service was great, the music was great, and the atmosphere was neat. We definitely came away with an interesting first anniversary story and are not likely to forget the meal anytime soon! (But truthfully, next time we would probably order takeout tzatziki and call it a night.)
