A New York Style Parisian Bistro. A 4000 sq, foot restaurant that is designed with contemporary sensibilities, yet returns the nostalgic ambiance of an authentic Parisian bistro. Round marble bistro tables and wicker chairs spill out onto the sidewalk, offering a kind of people watching one might indulge in, along Boulevard Saint-Germain. Zinc Bistro also offer a romantic garden patio secluded deep in the restaurant, lit by candles during the evening, creating an unforgettable ambiance, or a relaxing atmosphere near our fountain in the afternoon. The oyster bar stands at the end of the 25 foot zinc bar, serving fruit de mer platters, as well as all of the accoutrements. We went for Brunch. This was our first visit at Zinc Bistro. Everything we ordered was good. The French Martini is smooth as silk. Service was very good as well.

We’ve eaten here many times and I love having lunch at Zinc but this experience was really uneven. Service was good but the food, on the whole, wasn’t. Apps were good. Really enjoyed the roasted carrots. But my cocktail was made with flat soda and my husband’s water glass was dirty and had lipstick marks on the rim (not my shade). Dinner was disappointing. My husband and my three brothers ordered steak frites. All the steaks were mixed up. Medium well filet was medium. Medium NY strip was medium well. Medium rare filet was rare. Medium rare NY strip was medium well. They were all hungry so didn’t want to send the steaks back but it was pretty disappointing. The skin on my salmon was rubbery and the fish itself unseasoned. We usually get really great food here and I was introducing my brothers and their wives to Zinc. It’s a bummer that they probably won’t go back.

Susanne always takes great care of us. And the food was amazing. We had the crab Benedict,the short rib hash and the French toast. With a bloody and mule. Perfect start to our Sunday. Thank you Zinc.

Be prepared to be rushed through your meal and aggressively upsold on everything. The look of sheer annoyance our server gave me when I ordered Prosecco instead of Veuve…which I ordered before my entree came and she didn’t bring until I was finished. When we wanted to order soufflés for dessert she told us that it would take 25-30 mins and several times tried to get us to order something that was ready made. Food was heavy - average at best. Will not return.

As a long time Open Table member, we were given seemingly the worst table- opposite the wait station. Asked to be moved to table one over and hostess never returned to give an answer. And immediately upon sitting, a tray of glassware crashes sending glass shards at our feet. Same hostess did not bother to have a manager stop by. Server was excellent and food, overall, was very good.

We had great service from Susan. The drinks were a tad on the high side, but great pours. We shared a Caesar Salad, and truffle fries. Both my wife’s mussels and my cheese omelette with asparagus were superb. A great place to fall into or make reservations in advance.

They were fantastic! I booked through Open Table, and had put in their reservation form that I was going to be there celebrating my anniversary. To my delight, when we arrived, we were greeted with a "happy anniversary, I see you requested a table in our garden outside?" We were seated immediately in a romantic and semi private spot. Service was excellent, so was food, and then another surprise - a chocolate souflee in honor of our anniversary! Thanks for both Open Table, and to Zinc Bistro. Lovely ambiance and a great place to celebrate our milestone.

We went here for Mother’s Day dinner and had a wonderful evening. The service was exceptional. Andy was our waiter and we all thought he outstanding. Super friendly, attentive and patient with our party of 6. Everyone’s food was delicious! The truffle fries are not be missed! We love this restaurant!

My husband’s and my meals were very tasty. Our server was attentive and helpful even though the restaurant was really busy. It was very hard to hear each other at our table of four. Also, my friend’s duck confit was overcooked and dry.

We have patronized Zinc for 21 years always with great results. The last two visits have been disappointing. The first time the ribs gave all four of us upset stomach’s. This last time my wife ordered a new salad which was advertised as bib lettuce with poached salmon. There was one small piece of bib lettuce and the salmon was raw and cut up like poke, not poached, and very spicy. It was also served with a large portion of pumpernickel bread cut into 2” x 2” x 2” blocks. Odd. It also made her stomach upset.

For over 20 years, Zinc Bistro has been “Our Spot”. Whether it has been our first date, breaking bread with loved ones, anniversaries, birthdays. We have always felt a very warm welcome with everyone there. Although every server is great, I have to give props to Mayra who remembers me since I first started enjoying Zinc’s.
