    I live about a mile from the restaurant, but I'm embarrassed to admit I'm pretty late to the party. The menu is great and the food really delivers. Also, the ambiance gives a wonderful choice of sunny patio or cozy banquette. I also like the swivel barstools 👍🏻 My personal favorite is the beef tartare, but there's so much to choose from. Also, don't be fooled by the simplicity of the chocolate chip cookies. They're worth it.

    We had a great experience at Carmel! Our server was outstanding-offering drink and menu suggestions and accommodating dietary issues. We got a lot of different things-the special Moroccan Frena bread with tahini and olives was so warm and tasty! We enjoyed the hummus, bluefin tartar, smoked eggplant, Japanese sweet potato fries with labneh, Jerusalem artichoke tortellini, Red snapper schnitzel, branzino and hanger steak kebab. Everything was deliciously and beautifully prepared. We somehow managed to have a tiny bit of room for dessert so we got the halvah ice cream-SO good!! If you haven't been yet, you need to go!!
