We came to celebrate my birthday. Dinner was wonderful. Service phenomenal! We have gotten waitress, Andi the last 3 times. We didn’t even request her with the reservations. She remembered us. She is the best. Orders are always right, makes sure drinks are full, never rushes us. She’s just great. If you make reservations, ask to have Andi, she doesn’t disappoint. Thank you for the birthday email and dessert. Loved celebrating at J Gilbert’s!

We came for my girlfriend’s birthday and had an outstanding experience. The historic castle setting is beautiful inside and out, with great attention to detail, multiple levels, and a warm, elevated atmosphere (plus a nice patio). The food was excellent across the board — the deviled eggs, wedge salad, meatballs, and wagyu were all well executed and flavorful. Everything felt intentional. What really stands out is the personal touch. The owner goes table to table and the entire staff is genuinely attentive and friendly. For the birthday they brought out a flower bouquet with a sparkler and even covered our dessert — a thoughtful gesture that made the night feel special. The wine list is strong and they offer flights if you want to try a few things. Overall, this is one of the better dining experiences in the Kansas City metro. A+ from top to bottom.

We enjoyed everything about our dinner at LandShark in Margaritaville. We made a reservation online and were seated early. Live music began at 7:00 and enjoyed this as well! Service was excellent. Our server was Keith, and he stayed on top of all of our needs and was polite and efficient. Our appetizers came quickly, as did our entrees. We opted for parmesan garlic wings and their homemade chips with cheese, bacon and sour cream, then for dinner 2 of us had the Philly cheesesteak and 2 had burgers. Fries were an up charge from the homemade chips (both were good). We also enjoyed the molten lava cake with ice cream. Portions were generous and everything was delicious. It was a bit pricey compared to other nicer places nearby at Legends, but it was also better service and food than most of those places. Looking forward to going back!
